[00:00:00] It's going to roll left and right man. And Mike the 8-man. Oh my goodness gracious PTR Radio
[00:00:07] You ready to kick ass!
[00:00:21] Good evening everybody and welcome to another edition of PTR Radio here in the fabulous
[00:00:25] entire web. That's right we're back, we're here with three of us this time. Colin is back on the air
[00:00:35] with us this evening. Colin is better he's here and so tonight we will get to our movie reviews.
[00:00:45] So look forward to that during the last half hour of the show but we do have several things to talk
[00:00:51] about. We probably will get to it here in a little while but changes are the only thing that are
[00:00:59] constant in this universe and that's one of the things that we are going to discuss.
[00:01:09] I'm sorry I'm laughing because I'm just sitting as soon as you said it I'm like
[00:01:14] that son of a bitch has been thinking about this all day. No!
[00:01:17] Trying to get philosophical about it. He's just been waiting.
[00:01:21] Well I was going to break out we were going to carry Yokey.
[00:01:24] T-t-t-t-change! No, we weren't going to do that. That was never going to happen.
[00:01:30] But no, um no no I uh it's been a busy weekend for me since uh since we were off air last it's
[00:01:40] been a busy couple weeks actually. So um you know I have now become an integral part of what
[00:01:51] was hey well it was I guess it's still a volunteer position but it's more of a full-time volunteer
[00:01:56] position at my church. So I'm going to be there every Sunday for at least six hours a day
[00:02:05] plus time in between because our entire worship ministry has left so it's going to be completely
[00:02:14] run by volunteers and well what happens when you set things up is you then become the de facto
[00:02:22] guy in charge. And that sir is why I never volunteer for anything. Oh yes you do! You are Mr.
[00:02:32] Mike DJ. Uh yeah that's true I am Parlin's okay is DJ that is correct but
[00:02:41] that's the I didn't volunteer to run the school
[00:02:49] soon soon you'll be a crossing guard and and then you'll be like a librarians assistant next
[00:02:56] and you know maybe a security guard you know one of these days but uh but no I so yeah I just
[00:03:07] you know it's just one of those things where my daughter said you know it's kind of funny
[00:03:14] 10 years ago we started going there because you wanted me to join their their uh their high school
[00:03:20] kids kids group and now you're going to be leading communion and I'm like yeah this from a person
[00:03:28] who will wait wait yeah leading communion so you're basically going to be a pastor?
[00:03:35] No I'm still just a member. I told my wife I don't ever count on me becoming an elder because that
[00:03:41] ain't never going to happen uh and you can you can take that to the bank because that's just no
[00:03:47] there's no way um the church would catch on fire if that ever happened uh but we were we are
[00:03:55] having a problem with people who are comfortable getting up in front of the congregation and talking
[00:03:59] and well you know me I like to hear my own voice as my wife says so I got no problem being in front
[00:04:06] of a crowd and saying hey let's all eat the jeez it and drink the juice so you know
[00:04:17] I'll say that here I will not say that on stage but yeah it'd be so awesome if I did though
[00:04:24] I know it would be can't we just do some unique editing like can you do that before
[00:04:31] do it in practice yeah and then we just edit it in yeah get the crowd reactions just like
[00:04:39] as you know cut to stock footage of them just sitting there listening to you something really
[00:04:44] intently and you do the jeep the cheese it joking yeah and then cut to um uh Kingsman
[00:04:55] yeah I'll tell you man oh so we could have fun with this but no you cannot make fun in church
[00:05:06] that's what I said I have fun I didn't say make fun I said we could have fun with this
[00:05:12] well it could be it could be you know you never know I there would probably be a joke or two
[00:05:17] our church actually likes to have fun which is is nice we like to make jokes uh so you know I
[00:05:23] there there will be a joke or two if I get in front of people that's a guarantee I'm not going to go
[00:05:28] up their stone faced and uh be completely serious that's just that's not me in my delivery style first
[00:05:33] of all so but yeah so um but yeah so that's that's that's taking up time in my day but the good
[00:05:43] news is I'm off next week I am being forced to take time off from work because I have 15 days I
[00:05:51] have to use before the end of the year I think we talked about this last time so I'm taking a week off
[00:05:56] for in honor of Columbus Day indigenous peoples day I said one day it's not enough I'm taking the
[00:06:01] whole week so you know you have 15 days mm-hmm so I have I also have next week off because we're going
[00:06:12] up to Maine mm-hmm because it Kim's dad I also have Thanksgiving week scheduled off so so do I
[00:06:20] take days right now does your 15 include those eight yep okay my 15 that I have left the schedule do not include those eight holy crap
[00:06:33] so I am basically so I know there's two more days this month that I'll be taking off um but starting
[00:06:43] probably when I get back from Maine I will be starting my four day work weeks by taking off every Friday
[00:06:51] um mm-hmm because my hockey season also starts on the 27th oh you decided you want to you decide
[00:07:00] you weren't too fragile to play hockey I just played Saturday actually um fragile yes but I'm still playing
[00:07:10] um but my gig DJing the back to school barbecue landed me a repeat gig of their Halloween party for
[00:07:22] the second year in a row which is on the 26th okay well there you go you know so part lens okay is DJ
[00:07:33] you got his residency at the elementary school not something that I typically want to put on a
[00:07:39] res uh in a resume here hey I had I had a solid like four years at i-school that I was that I was doing
[00:07:46] uh homecomings and prompts so you know there's worse things it's solid work solid work my friend
[00:07:56] so yeah I was just checking that uh so my time off is at negative 65.75 hours
[00:08:08] yeah it's about to say you're probably running a deficit uh you know yes
[00:08:13] yeah uh you know being out for a couple weeks of surgery and then going on a career is
[00:08:18] we'll do that for you yeah luckily my company doesn't really care just you know
[00:08:24] have to catch up at some point yeah well I'm uh I'm to the point where I'm using a vacation and
[00:08:33] personal time to go to doctor's appointments so you know there's like one day that I haven't
[00:08:40] scheduled yet that I'm just saying okay well I'll tick off an hour here or two hours there to visit
[00:08:44] doctors because I have sick time in addition to all that other time uh that but that doesn't
[00:08:50] you know there's no expiration date on those the value there is when you're ready to retire
[00:08:55] you can cash those in and retire sooner you get half credit for those days so right now I can retire
[00:09:03] like a month early
[00:09:11] not that that's going to ever happen because I just I don't say I'm one I look at my bills and I go
[00:09:17] I'm not retiring ever I'm gonna work until they put me in the ground and then I'll probably still
[00:09:23] try and find a way to clock in for two more weeks at least uh you know but yeah
[00:09:31] yeah I um what is remote work policy when you're dead I mean could you could you do that
[00:09:38] do they do they have I speed internet and hell that's the question no that's not a lot
[00:09:44] satellite satellite what's that how did the flames affect the signal I mean what kind of lag
[00:09:51] does that I don't know but that would be hell is satellites you know and not the good satellite
[00:09:57] not not not the not the starlink satellite no it's it's the the huge satellite that's the
[00:10:03] what it is yeah so right speaking that that is my plan in December because I'm still doing my
[00:10:10] usual week in Disney so I'm playing to work at least three days sitting on the balcony of my
[00:10:18] Disney hotel room at work ah see if you were my contractor I'd say no you can't do that
[00:10:25] because I've actually told my contractors no you have to be at your primary residence
[00:10:31] that's what that's what the agreement says
[00:10:33] yes because I've had several contractors ask me so they can't work from their their sailboat in
[00:10:42] Fiji no I've asked a lot of I've had a lot of actually I have quite a few who go to visit family in
[00:10:50] India or whatever and you know that three or four weeks and they're like well can we work there
[00:10:55] and I'm like no no it's different you can't work I mean if you're out of the country most of our
[00:11:01] most of our network rules when I'm well and I've even I asked specifically I'm like well what if
[00:11:07] they were in I had one that wanted to go visit his brother in California and I asked I sent it
[00:11:13] through to our HR and I said this is a consultant but this is what he wants to do and they're like no
[00:11:20] they're like if he's on vacation then he's on vacation you shouldn't be trying to log in because
[00:11:26] we can't guarantee that he's dedicated time you know so no that that that shouldn't pass and I'm
[00:11:31] like I get it I get it I can't my how do you know is dedicated time at our I I hold them to the
[00:11:39] same responsible I mean they even the the full-time employees have that same restriction I can't let
[00:11:45] my staff my staff can't see that's do it that's that's remote so that's the problem is that legally
[00:11:53] speaking you cannot treat your contractors like you do your employees well I so
[00:12:01] if that's the way I haven't checked in to see if I can even do that just saying if I can I will
[00:12:07] yeah but uh and I think it is case by case I think it is department by department but you know
[00:12:13] that's what I've been told so um well there's always VPN yeah well and and that's what I you know
[00:12:22] I can't come out and say it but I'm like sometimes it's better not to ask because I don't know
[00:12:28] what you don't tell me well see that's a thing reliability yeah connecting connecting directly instead
[00:12:39] because you know my computer upstairs is the one I use to connect work
[00:12:45] mm-hmm so when I'm working remotely I connect to that upstairs yeah yeah so I mean and I sometimes
[00:12:58] they even tell my own employees I'm like don't ask me questions you don't want me to know about
[00:13:03] I'm sorry you know I hell I I live by that you know that philosophy I sometimes I don't
[00:13:11] want to know the answer sometimes it's better that way but um anyway speaking of California um
[00:13:24] Mike I know we've talked many a time about minimum wage and uh you know the thoughts on it
[00:13:35] and what people don't understand about the economy and I don't know if you saw the headline for
[00:13:43] this or not but California has passed a new bill which has uh raised not the minimum wage
[00:13:56] but the minimum wage specifically for fast food workers so their minimum wage is 1650 an hour
[00:14:05] but if you work in fast food your new minimum wage will be $20 an hour
[00:14:16] what the what yeah and all right so I read you're subtitling they're like that's more than
[00:14:22] bankers are making uh I don't know about that well tellers tellers in banks not like
[00:14:28] okay loan officers banker well they work in a bank so
[00:14:41] the fact that governor knew some now if you're talking about folks in like McDonald's and I'm just
[00:14:49] gonna use McDonald's to mean all fast food restaurants yeah you know generally speaking
[00:14:55] you're talking about all the workers that McDonald's I don't understand why just that industry
[00:15:02] like this is where I think the outrage is really going to build up because
[00:15:08] yeah I guess it's still technically a form of retail because I was gonna say like who who gets
[00:15:15] it worse retail or the service industry what but as far as people like disrespecting them
[00:15:22] well is it I'm not sure is it disrespecting or are they trying to address a labor shortage
[00:15:30] in those industries by forcing the industry to pay more money possibly that's a good way
[00:15:37] it's a good way to look at it um you know we've talked about the fact that you know McDonald's
[00:15:45] that's not meant to be a career path no not unless you're in management no but no yeah well no child
[00:15:56] in grade school should ever say when I grow up I want to be working on fries
[00:16:04] yeah no it should not be an aspiration for your career path to include the phrase would you
[00:16:14] like fries with that would you like to upsize that meal right I mean it and this I think is where
[00:16:23] the generational gap comes in right I just had this conversation with with Kim the other day
[00:16:31] that it seems like the younger generation the ones that should be working fast food jobs while
[00:16:36] they're in high school and college you know earlier as a college it seems like
[00:16:42] there's a sense of entitlement or a sense of this job is beneath me kind of going around
[00:16:52] and if you're trying to be successful there really shouldn't no job is beneath you
[00:16:59] not when your starting is working or something when you have no experience you have to do something
[00:17:05] to get experience I mean period end of story I worked McDonald's when I start when at 15 for four
[00:17:14] and a half years to gain money and experience so that then I could step into a better job um you know
[00:17:22] it was a stepping stone to something better it was not going to be a lifelong path because
[00:17:28] that is not something that you can realistically sustain a family on it was never meant to be a
[00:17:35] family income um you know not a part-time job because you don't have benefits you don't have
[00:17:43] you know all these other things uh you know you don't have you know workable hours to support a
[00:17:49] family or anything like that I mean you know and so it's not it's not long-term sustainable
[00:17:56] it's something to get experienced to move into something else you you should cycle those people through
[00:18:01] um you know people who are working those jobs unfortunately think that it's a lifetime opportunity
[00:18:10] they shouldn't see it that way they should they should want to better themselves and get better
[00:18:14] yeah so here's the other part of the other the flip side to this that the article mentions is
[00:18:21] this does not affect corporate owned stores as much as it affects the franchise
[00:18:28] the franchise stores right you can usually tell a difference between a corporate owned store and
[00:18:35] a franchise store by some of the materials I'll say there are two McDonald's less than a mile from
[00:18:43] each other in my right by my house one is family owned one is corporate owned
[00:18:51] best I can tell the bags are different the straws are different
[00:18:59] the overall setup layout of the restaurant is slightly different which I thought was a little
[00:19:06] that could just be because of age when one was updated when one wasn't but there's subtle differences
[00:19:12] because I guess franchisees have a choice of suppliers incorporate all uses one supplier
[00:19:19] things like that the franchisees are the ones that are really going to get hurt by this and we saw
[00:19:24] this in New Jersey when they bump the minimum wage here yeah a lot of stores started losing
[00:19:35] or are cutting back staff so then what happens it's snowballs you cut back staff because you can't
[00:19:41] afford to keep everyone on payroll the staff that's left has to pick up the slack so they're being
[00:19:50] worked too hard they want to leave unless you give them more money or they quit and then you got
[00:19:57] to find somebody who you're going to have to pay more money it had an opposite effect
[00:20:05] and I get why they did it the whole living wage thing yeah I get that I truly do
[00:20:12] but throwing money at a problem instead of trying to fix the problem
[00:20:17] yeah that's I mean as pie in the sky I know but so even you watched any recent videos showing
[00:20:26] the internals of how fast food restaurants work nowadays it it it it seconds me when I look
[00:20:33] behind the counter compared to when I was there it's completely different you talk about how
[00:20:39] like everything has a process now basically yeah see you watching they're working very fast and then
[00:20:46] you find out that that person just watched the video of working very fast got moved to a different
[00:20:51] station because they decided that they were not running working fast enough which then tells you
[00:20:57] that so the people who are really good at that job are very fast and so you just seem going okay
[00:21:03] so if all these systems they're getting to a point where this is a counterpoint that all
[00:21:12] thing is you know what if you look at the fast food restaurants and say okay well if I have to pay
[00:21:16] people 20 dollars an hour then that person I'm going to pay actually has to be good at the job
[00:21:28] and I'm going to have less of them because of my my my systems of how the restaurant actually works
[00:21:34] says they're going to pump out X number of burrs to justify how much they're paid and if they're
[00:21:41] doing that then you're approaching the place where that person does have a career you're you're asking
[00:21:50] them to be good enough at that job but that actually is what they're going to do well and they
[00:21:56] and that is aspirational enough to say you are good enough at that that's what you do if that
[00:22:04] so counterpoint well counterpoint to that is let's just say this passes and that guy who's
[00:22:12] excelling at that job gets 20 dollars an hour will the franchise be able to afford to compensate him
[00:22:22] for that skill meaning like are you getting a one-time bump at cost of you're probably not going
[00:22:29] to be able to get a raise for a while because we can't afford it or are you going to compensate
[00:22:36] the one that is really really good more than the guy that just started because I think he has
[00:22:44] learned that skill right so there's that point you think at that point you've already rebuilt your
[00:22:51] kitchens to be around the small number of staff who are extremely good at their job and once you've
[00:22:59] done that then you're kind of forced to continue to pay them well because it's more difficult
[00:23:07] to replace them now when you have a kitchen full of lots of teenagers who weren't paid very much
[00:23:16] it's easy to swap them out but if you have highly trained people now you have to have people
[00:23:22] coming in they take a year to get them up the speed be able to replace anybody well I so I wish
[00:23:28] that was true but I'm not saying this is true I'm just saying yeah no it's a valid point I mean but
[00:23:36] then I'm also so while you were saying that like for McDonald's or something like that that makes
[00:23:40] perfect sense but then the thought crossed my mind what are they considering a fast food
[00:23:47] so so it is could the taco stand the independently owned taco stand by the beach so it's
[00:23:54] fall into this it applies to fast food chains with at least 60 locations nationwide except for those who
[00:24:01] uh that make and sell their own bread so subway yeah well the subway yeah they don't sell
[00:24:14] their own bread they just I don't know why they carve those people out specifically they must have a
[00:24:18] hell of a lobbying group uh but you know and then there's a whole question of because of the
[00:24:24] ingredients his subway's bread really bread yeah well we know it's not a foot long uh so
[00:24:32] and is it donut bread but then but then seen but then you get into the franchise part like so
[00:24:39] did they look at if one subway franchisee owns 10 stores are they looking at
[00:24:47] bobs fast food LLC are they looking at subway and and and what kills me is it says it also
[00:24:56] establishes a fast food council uh so um I'm just because government cannot implement change without
[00:25:05] having a council or a VIP panel or some study by an independent third party auditor that is actually
[00:25:13] the brother-in-law of one of the council people so I am just imagining um I don't know how much
[00:25:19] you guys are familiar with the fast food house uh but I am just imagining the the fast food house
[00:25:31] this is not I'm imagining like like the the hall of justice but you got Ronald McDonald the king
[00:25:38] Wendy so this is the part of the fast food house no no no back in the box forgot about him he's in there
[00:25:49] he's actually in here yeah the uh and the kernels in there and uh and they got this girl from
[00:25:58] Panda Express she's in there uh yeah yeah and uh oh and they got the king from uh you know burger
[00:26:09] king and uh they got you know so yeah so here's a here's a group shot see uh you know
[00:26:16] follow some stupid stuff uh and you really do and uh you you have explored corners of the internet
[00:26:27] that really should not be exploited yeah see look they got they got let's see look they get they got
[00:26:32] jack oh dammit they switched but yeah they got they got jack and there's the star so yeah
[00:26:45] yeah that's fast food house I obviously so I mean I didn't read the bill obviously I'm not going
[00:26:52] through a bill in California until I find out that New Jersey's trying to copy it it's probably
[00:26:59] just matter of time well it well the question is how long is it going to take for this to implement
[00:27:06] and will governor Murphy still be in office the answer hopefully is no because he's out in January
[00:27:15] um the the the question I'd be curious to see the specifics how long is it going to take the
[00:27:22] roll out and how are they going to apply it yeah I no I mean there are definitely a lot of a lot
[00:27:30] of questions and it's it's gonna take some time that's for sure so yeah fun mentally the issue is
[00:27:38] that the United States is moving to a service based economy because we don't really make anything
[00:27:46] I don't know what you're talking about we're bringing the chips back you know so is it
[00:27:54] as a service based economy well the front end of the economy is fast food and because we're Americans
[00:28:02] so yeah also the high school students just aren't working because they're too busy doing other
[00:28:09] stuff playing video games playing video games annoying seniors um
[00:28:16] trash talking um making insta videos yeah those things the important things
[00:28:28] so yeah I guess I should be glad that I'm resident DJ for the elementary school which is actually
[00:28:34] only K through three in our town yeah because four through six they go to the upper elementary school
[00:28:42] uh so I guess I should be happy because those kids you put on baby shark and they're fine yeah
[00:28:49] well hardest problem the hardest thing is I actually have to listen to music
[00:28:54] and read like read lyrics to make sure there's not some kind of innuendo I got to worry about
[00:29:00] yep like I start I queued up um uh shake your booty oh no shake shake shake shake shake
[00:29:12] and I was like whoa wait a minute wait a minute the 70s so I can't play that no I can't play that
[00:29:16] no like working at like car wash working at the car while well no night fever I didn't want to
[00:29:24] play to be jeez like stupid stuff like that I was just curious no Mike you need to start working
[00:29:30] the high schools though because because there you could run into some you know models no
[00:29:38] no not the students the teachers I don't know no no yeah no can I meant can I say it again
[00:29:46] no I don't want to have anything to do with the high school students I'm gonna tell you exactly
[00:29:50] why not students they're dangerous teachers the teachers are just as bad well
[00:29:58] but you know that some of them won't be teachers long for this case Missouri high school teachers
[00:30:02] put on leave after school officials discover her page on porn site I mean it seems like
[00:30:07] we're reading one of these a week at least you know it's it's like I don't understand where
[00:30:16] everybody else is getting the money to fund all of these only fans people because
[00:30:24] but here everybody has an only fan so okay so yeah I was telling Kim about this I stumbled across
[00:30:31] before we go to bed of course I'm on Instagram and I'm doom scrolling through reels just watching
[00:30:37] stuff that's me on Facebook and my attention span right yeah so I'm looking and here's this one so
[00:30:44] there's all these reels of people like cooking right okay apparently that's the new thing cooking
[00:30:49] well this this girl has an only pans account where she cooks and she kind of gets cutesy about it
[00:31:06] I'm like now we're gonna now we're gonna cut up the sausage boy the sausage is big isn't it uh-huh
[00:31:12] and you know stupid stuff like this yeah punny but yeah it's all yeah it's all very punny but
[00:31:19] I'm like okay you know what I this this is entertaining if I had money that was untraceable
[00:31:28] like crypto or something yes yeah so no that's not true I would not I would not do that no
[00:31:38] I would give it to my wife and tell her okay you better make a video like this for me or this is
[00:31:42] how you got to cook dinner for now because I uh no you should tell her hey listen we should start
[00:31:46] an account for you let's make some more money you could rescue more dogs no no no no no no no no no
[00:31:56] say hey you want to make that sanctuary this is how we pay for it no no no no no no no
[00:32:03] so yeah so St. Clair is about 55 miles southwest of St. Louis the high school has about 750 students in it
[00:32:11] uh copag said she joined only fans website over the summer to supplement her salary as a second year
[00:32:18] teacher she taught English to freshmen and sophomore and made about okay get these numbers straight
[00:32:23] in your mind forty two thousand dollars last year okay so a year of teaching forty two thousand dollars
[00:32:30] according to the newspapers public pay database she said she earned an additional
[00:32:36] eight to ten thousand dollars per month performing on only fans I just looked this up because I
[00:32:47] would cure it in 2022 only fans had a revenue of two and a half billion dollars yes
[00:32:56] it's ridiculous what in the hell is going on with America well we are into two things fast food
[00:33:12] and porn that's where America and guns three things we're in three things we want cheese on it
[00:33:19] we want to take that we want cheese on it we want to nick it and we want to shoot it uh that was
[00:33:24] the three things that the modern American wants not necessarily in that order
[00:33:34] so she said she chose the site because its content is only available to subscribers and she
[00:33:41] thought it would help protect her identity well I guess she didn't realize the depravity of some
[00:33:46] of the people that were either parents of the students or the faculty but yes so uh so she got fired
[00:33:57] and I loved one of the comments on the I don't know if I'll even be able to find it anymore
[00:34:02] but somebody said there's a lesson to be learned here a math lesson work hard as a teacher for
[00:34:09] forty two thousand dollars or hardly work for a hundred and twenty thousand dollars that
[00:34:21] you know like I give it up for some of these content creators okay they put some real production
[00:34:28] value into this and I blame the iPhone for it
[00:34:31] all right the iPhone was downfall society because that'll that basically put a movie studio
[00:34:38] in everybody's hand I hate it when I see re drummond filming her whole damn show on iPhones
[00:34:46] you know when you can do a network television show and just use like six iPhones to film it
[00:34:54] that just make the I'm sorry try harder all right you get paid a lot of money all right
[00:35:00] so they should use it so they should use the inferior camera to to record instead just so
[00:35:12] it's not an iPhone yes absolutely yes I want them to hire and she has her kids do it no I want you
[00:35:18] to hire a whole crew have a dedicated set I want this to cost a billion dollars for you to have to
[00:35:24] film these things this is ridiculous I mean and we're and we haven't taken off yet
[00:35:29] come on we were doing this so okay so you talk you're talking about this now let's
[00:35:36] you just touched on a piece of relative recent news uh the writer's strike is over
[00:35:43] yeah hazaa
[00:35:47] what's you
[00:35:48] so thank you yes no manos I don't know what could be broccoli I don't know um but yes so
[00:35:57] writer's strike is over and now we need the we have to get the actors
[00:36:02] what what you know sag after yeah yep and they're in discussion this week
[00:36:10] so soon I will be we'll be back to making movies and tv shows and Hollywood will be great again
[00:36:21] and I shouldn't use that term Hollywood will be wonderful once again and uh it'll be just
[00:36:28] best thing ever we'll have remakes of everything and no original thoughts once again and uh you know
[00:36:35] it'll just be the same old same old they are oh that's right remakes yes we have to talk about
[00:36:46] the remake the remake which is going to undo our history the remake that is going to send me over
[00:36:57] the edge uh-huh because that listen we have said many times there are certain classics that you just
[00:37:05] do not mess with yep right don't try and remake jaws you can't do it well you could and you could
[00:37:14] make it a lot better but you shouldn't there's certain sacred movies that should not be touched one of
[00:37:20] which is them is the cinematic masterpiece that launched several careers yes of people like Liam
[00:37:29] Neeson Robbie Coltrane
[00:37:35] even though it wasn't his voice but it was him and I'm talking about the cinematic masterpiece
[00:37:44] that spawned a video game even it's called crawl
[00:37:51] yes crawl
[00:37:56] which is the campiest most amazing love story ever
[00:38:01] cliche beyond belief okay you've got demons you've got beasts you've got magic you've got
[00:38:08] got black widow witches you've got boy meets girl falls in love and loves saves the day
[00:38:16] you've got a spraining cyclops and horses that run on fire and disappearing castles that move
[00:38:27] and right and a boomerang of knives that's
[00:38:33] and you're gonna remake this
[00:38:39] and add tons of explosive yes because it's JJ Abrams the only thing that could be worse is if
[00:38:46] you attach the name Michael Bay to this thing or exactly explode things
[00:38:54] AJ Abrams shines lights into into the camera lenses and of course what's gonna save the day
[00:39:03] if it's JJ Abrams it will be red matter that saves the day
[00:39:11] so so who does the glaive work only the Lord Marsle has that key but how does the glaive work well
[00:39:18] it runs on red matter of course so so it could be worse it could be shaman so so who is gonna play the lead
[00:39:29] me no come on i work cheat no can't be me because everybody in that movie wore tight pants
[00:39:41] I can't no no can't be me I mean I played a beast Hayden Christian I played it no no no
[00:39:53] who played who played rent Reno what who played the new the new Darth Vader who was that guy
[00:40:01] yeah the kid Kylo Ren who played that guy oh Adam Driver yeah him
[00:40:18] you know he actually is a better age because I don't think that they'll make it
[00:40:25] um Thor I don't think he would take that no I think that's a step down yes right look um
[00:40:38] Paul Rudd well of course again I'm choosing people who are too old I that would be ridiculous if it was
[00:40:47] Paul Rudd is not Paul don't age no he doesn't we have pictures to prove it he's he's been the same
[00:40:53] for the last 15 years who I don't know like it all depends because
[00:41:06] lately I've been watching a lot of Chicago PD and the one guy that left he played detective J Hall
[00:41:18] said somehow I think he might be okay in this if it were to happen
[00:41:27] I think the problem here is if you try to attach a big name to this movie
[00:41:31] if this remake really happens and you try to attach a big name to it it's gonna fail miserably
[00:41:38] yeah I think your big name can play like the old wizard um maybe you get somebody
[00:41:48] on the on the on the tail end to play ergo the magnificent somebody says I'm not sure
[00:41:55] crawl is worthy of a remake a reboot it was pretty horrible who is it who is it where do they live
[00:42:01] I got 15 days vacation where do they live because I'm just looking through a thread on Reddit
[00:42:08] about this somebody says it would make a better TV show than a movie remake
[00:42:13] it's gonna be a short TV show
[00:42:18] yeah what about the guy that was in the experiment there's enough there you could draw out to a TV show
[00:42:27] uh a lot of people are saying JJ A was the worst the worst person to pick for this
[00:42:32] uh because if you make it that's just a remake but like a sequel it's like the the
[00:42:42] the glaive is that what that fits go yeah like the glaive is split apart so you have to go find all the pieces
[00:42:51] oh perhaps um my saying's a good idea I'm gonna say you made a TV show well okay fair enough
[00:43:02] I don't know yeah there's not enough there there's a lot of movies there like it's a great movie
[00:43:12] but there's there's nothing there that needs a remake yeah everybody makes the same comment we do
[00:43:19] what there's no there's no original ideas um so now I will I will say this okay about these
[00:43:29] remakes I will say this a movie like Croll that has developed such a cult following
[00:43:38] would benefit from a remake just because of the the CG the special effects would be a lot better
[00:43:48] right yeah the special effects here where we're absolutely horrible they were great by then standards
[00:43:54] yeah by then standards yeah right so just do the the Lucas thing to it and just redo this
[00:44:01] no no no no we can't do that no no no because it because Lucas like trademarked that right so if he
[00:44:10] does if he does that we're gonna have to add Nazis or aliens or some kind of some kind of crap to it
[00:44:16] um time travel but yeah here's my here's my hope that perhaps if they're gonna start looking at
[00:44:27] stuff properties from that era to make movies and remakes and stuff maybe I will finally get my
[00:44:34] Robotech movie live action Robotech movie could I have been holding out on this for this for 30 freaking
[00:44:42] years I will keep that torch burning because if anything that would be a movie transformers
[00:44:51] prove to me that the CGI is there that we could they can do a a Robocross movie a Robotech movie
[00:45:00] evidently could cross in Robotech and Macross evidently they are turning the fall guy television show
[00:45:07] into a movie what I've read this somewhere and that's another can't be
[00:45:15] um is that didn't they do that already it was called Hooper with
[00:45:21] hurt Reynolds I don't I don't know about that it was a movie about a stuntman
[00:45:25] uh yeah it didn't solve a crime but I mean it was a yeah um let's see here there's
[00:45:39] kingdom inside out inside out two is coming
[00:45:51] yeah so Matt Lock did we talk about that for Matt Lock with Kathy Bates is that yeah we did happen
[00:45:59] yeah yeah we talked about that yeah okay and did we did we ever figure out is this like a remake is
[00:46:07] a continuation or it doesn't seem like anything to me it's not a continuation we know that
[00:46:16] yeah okay I think it's going to be an adaptation kind of like Magnum P.I. was
[00:46:23] okay so this falls into the homage could be a could be could be the same show with any other name
[00:46:34] you're just using Matt Lock to draw people in yeah I think what I think what they're doing is that she
[00:46:41] so this she's playing a female lawyer who probably has the Matt Lock country charm to her
[00:46:50] who comes in and joins a big city law firm for some reason
[00:46:59] yeah so okay maybe they end up with her creating her own law firm and doing the
[00:47:05] Matt Lock thing later and it's just the origin story of it I can see that but otherwise it
[00:47:12] just sounds like um the good wife but older yeah you guys want another disappointment they're
[00:47:20] remaking the karate kid again now now yep yep I finally got December 20th I finally got a generation
[00:47:29] realizing that that Jackie Chan was not the original mr. Miyagi mm-hmm yep coming out again
[00:47:38] I'm gonna have to do this all over again yeah so all right that's 10 till seven let's get into
[00:47:49] kind of what we some some things about the show our show so first off welcome to any potential
[00:47:57] kick watchers new streaming platform for us this evening nobody knew about it yeah so there's a
[00:48:06] new streaming platform called kick it's at kids kick.com and it's uh it's another one similar to
[00:48:15] twitch I guess but it's uh it's one of those out there they're kind of in beta they're growing
[00:48:22] their audience and so I figured well that that's us we're growing our audience checking them scared
[00:48:27] let's count them scared well don't worry we're not we're not earning any coins or anything so I think
[00:48:32] we'll be okay oh god so we're doing just fine kind of stuff great no no no we're not earning any coins
[00:48:40] it's not that it's just kick.com and uh it's got a bunch of different it is gamer centric but there's
[00:48:48] a ton of podcasts and everything else out there too uh so you know they've got uh so I figured what
[00:48:54] the hell let's let's throw it out there to one more place uh and see what we can do so you know
[00:49:03] so we're so we're out there nobody's listening but we're out there thank you um
[00:49:11] um next up um so in addition to to running on that new platform to see who all we can we can grab
[00:49:20] out there um we are going to be working on a new website uh that's one of the projects I do
[00:49:27] want to work on while I have some time off coming up uh also we are going to be changing
[00:49:33] the format of the show a little bit so uh we've been we've been bouncing around a few ideas for
[00:49:40] a week or so and I think what we finally decided on is um you know for right now uh we we realized
[00:49:48] that a two hour show is a lot for some people it's out of the norm for most podcasts uh you know
[00:49:54] most podcasts are you know most of them are actually like 17 20 minutes at the most uh two hours
[00:50:00] is a long time to listen to us just sit here and talk so what we decided to do is we think
[00:50:07] we're gonna cut this down to an hour now that's a little bit of a loose timeline I mean obviously
[00:50:12] if we get going we're not gonna say oh 60 minutes we're cutting it off now I mean if we get going
[00:50:17] for a little while we may go five minutes over whatever it is uh like we usually have done but
[00:50:22] we're gonna try to stick to around an hour and um you know we're gonna try and kind of tighten up
[00:50:28] our topics a little bit to angle them maybe more towards the television and movie stuff that we
[00:50:34] typically talk about as as we've done tonight um doesn't mean you're not gonna get some nutty news
[00:50:40] and stuff like that uh we're always gonna have our thoughts about what's going on in our lives
[00:50:44] and everything else and uh you know we want to continue to relate to everybody I mean we're
[00:50:51] you know 40 some things uh you know and we we like to be relatable to that audience as well as a
[00:50:57] decade on either side uh you know because we're a mixture of young and old at heart
[00:51:05] and uh well young at heart old in body let's put it that way
[00:51:11] the mind is willing but the body is saying you're out your damn mind yeah uh so um
[00:51:18] you know and and that's not to say that that you know we won't throw occasional stuff up there I
[00:51:24] was thinking you know hey maybe I'll throw some some far stuff in there every once in a while or
[00:51:28] whatever you know get back to doing the drink stuff but regardless we think we're gonna knock it
[00:51:33] down to about an hour for the week and we also we like doing the movie reviews uh but we're
[00:51:39] gonna scale that back to one movie per episode uh just because uh one it'll let us concentrate on
[00:51:48] on the movie a little bit more it'll give us um you know an opportunity to really look for
[00:51:55] and kind of be a little bit choosier about the movies that we watch because we want to make sure
[00:51:59] that we get a value out of the movies and that we really do guide you guys towards the movies
[00:52:03] that not as not to mean that we're gonna cherry pick the movies uh because sometimes bad movies are
[00:52:09] great I mean we've had some really good bad movies I mean take the cobbler for instance I mean
[00:52:17] you know some of us just loved it uh the rest of us couldn't stand it uh and who knows tonight's
[00:52:24] two movies that we're gonna talk about might fall into the same category you know you might have found
[00:52:29] one that was great uh we might not of uh you know but regardless uh that's I think that's gonna be
[00:52:39] the the start I think for right now I think we decided we are gonna keep going with every other week
[00:52:44] um but that's something where this is a little bit subject to change we said in the notes
[00:52:49] that we wanted you guys's feedback all right we've been fairly stagnant with viewers and with
[00:52:57] downloads for a while now and that's something that we would love to see change we have said for
[00:53:04] a long time we rely on viewers to help spread the word of the show um to get that out there
[00:53:11] and to grow it I mean we love doing it regardless but we do want to see it grow so if you know
[00:53:18] you guys want us to do it more often one we need to hear that and two um we'd love to see the numbers
[00:53:25] go up you know we'd love to see more people download it we'd love to see more interaction on our
[00:53:29] social media channels we'd love to you know hear from you guys more often because that will help
[00:53:34] reinvigorate us to do the show more often I mean you know we we do get more energized about it when
[00:53:41] we get feedback from you guys I think we all enjoy hearing hey what was listening to the episode
[00:53:48] I really got into it you know even if it's just a comment on the video or whatever we love seeing
[00:53:52] that stuff it tells us that we're doing a good job and that you guys are are interested in what you
[00:53:58] hear us say um just reinforces that we're doing we're doing what we want to do um you guys I've
[00:54:08] talked a lot you guys go ahead and throw in your two cents Colin I think I was thinking you were
[00:54:21] covering everything I don't want to talk over yeah good well I mean you're right I think Shaggy
[00:54:32] pretty much summed it up and we did have some lengthy discussion beforehand so yeah he we handed
[00:54:38] it in the script um and the thing but we talked about some other changes that we we might implement um
[00:54:50] but I don't think we don't want to change too much at once when you're trying to improve something
[00:54:59] and I don't want to I don't want to use the term if something's not working because I don't think
[00:55:05] there's anything about the show that doesn't work I think it's just like he's we plateaued
[00:55:14] you know if you start changing too many things at once you're not sure what actually had an impact
[00:55:20] so we're kind of targeting these changes or phasing them in we'll put it that way
[00:55:26] no I'm not going to say that anything is off the table at least from my standpoint uh with the
[00:55:33] exception of we're going to stay clothed um that is a non starter for for anybody viewers or staff
[00:55:46] yeah um I'm still going to drink that's that's also non negotiable and um
[00:56:00] I don't know I think I'm gonna stay in the bottom bottom left or bottom right quarter here
[00:56:06] I don't think we're gonna shuffle that around um no randomizer I don't
[00:56:16] yeah no I mean but yeah though but like you said we kind of we're kind of looking for input here so
[00:56:22] we want to do the show so it's entertaining for more people and we do get more interaction
[00:56:29] yeah I mean don't get me wrong we love you know mama Blair chiming in
[00:56:36] they don't ever want to discourage mama Blair from chiming chiming in uh we just love a little bit
[00:56:42] more people adding to the mix uh so you know um you know that's and and Mike as Mike said
[00:56:52] we're going to kind of target these and we're going to slowly phase them in so that we can see
[00:56:55] what works what doesn't work if a change doesn't work we'll roll it back um I had
[00:57:01] I and to tell you kind of experience with this I had a customer of mine who
[00:57:07] who decided that they were gonna shotgun ads across different you know across different mediums
[00:57:14] they put them in the newspaper they put them on the radio they put them on television
[00:57:18] they ran the same ad on every medium and I said how are you going to know what medium
[00:57:29] um was responsible for bringing in the business did you did you tell them when they when they
[00:57:36] redeemed it did you ask him how they heard about it no then how do you know what one was most
[00:57:42] effective so you know how to spend your advertising money in the future Mike because you just
[00:57:47] spent like ten grand on this big media push and you have no way of quantifying what method worked
[00:58:00] so you could say it was successful but you don't know how it was successful so you don't know how to
[00:58:04] do it again how to get the most out of your money so that's why we're trying this approach and that's
[00:58:09] actually I deal with this at work all the time too it's like listen you can't you can't gut everything
[00:58:15] and start over if you don't understand you know what what's going to get you bang for your buck so
[00:58:21] you know that's that's we're taking a slow approach and uh hopefully it'll work hopefully it'll work
[00:58:29] but the core of the show is not going to change the core of the show is still you know three old guys
[00:58:35] sitting around talking about what comes to their minds and uh and going a little bit off topic
[00:58:40] every once in a while and we can't change who we are so don't look for that to change anytime soon
[00:58:47] you know uh now that being said we are open for sponsorship oh absolutely we are four
[00:58:54] sale 100 percent so you know if uh I recently I recently acquired a doctor squash bar of soap and
[00:59:03] I really liked it Dr. Squatch you know I don't think we discussed it though we still looking at the same
[00:59:14] start term you know I think I think so yeah um you know product sponsorships uh you know
[00:59:24] yeah
[00:59:30] we can't I don't think we discussed it we haven't discussed it yet we'll we'll make sure that we
[00:59:34] announce that um yeah you know but yeah it I think it's going to fall in the same safe to say
[00:59:41] it will be in the same same time slot yeah somewhere yeah then
[00:59:47] yep so and and and we're keeping all the same mediums so you know Facebook YouTube Twitch
[00:59:53] all the all the fun stuff uh you know Twitter slash x I I noticed that x has been referred to kind
[01:00:00] of like what Mike what Prince was uh every time you see x uh it says x formerly known as Twitter
[01:00:08] so yeah you know but yeah until uh still till Elon runs that completely into the ground will be
[01:00:18] available there and actually we may if I can get us on it we may start uh publishing on Instagram
[01:00:25] live if I can make that happen I tried to sign us up for a creator account today so if that we
[01:00:32] can get that cleared through then maybe we'll start going live on Instagram if that happens
[01:00:39] then we very well could get some kind of sponsorship deal now so uh look I'm not look
[01:00:47] well potential sponsors let me clear all right I'm not looking to retire all of your sponsorship
[01:00:55] I will happily promote your products hey I will happily use your products
[01:01:02] I'll happily do reels and stuff from your products we don't have agents so we work cheap
[01:01:08] Colin is our legal department so no you work cheap so you know we're not savvy uh
[01:01:17] we we we're pretty much promote if you give us free stuff well pretty much promote it I mean
[01:01:22] yeah that's the longer in the short of it here we did that with ski for how long or
[01:01:27] early it was give us coupons and stickers yeah well I gave us some uh some kuzis and some t-shirts
[01:01:35] and some uh some yeah some some keychains that's right yeah so they have some swag
[01:01:41] yeah to give out to our listeners yeah I did keep one keychain so you know but yeah but
[01:01:50] I was uh you know I but yeah no we're re-coupping the cost of what it does to do this gig would be
[01:01:57] nice every once in a while but um yeah so anyway uh but yeah that's what's coming to the and
[01:02:09] and you know one of the things that that we are like I said we are working I am working on is
[01:02:15] a new site and one of the big components of that site will be a place where you can see the movie
[01:02:19] ratings that's going to be a critical thing that I want to make sure that I put on there that uh
[01:02:25] you know is a value and I was actually going to reach out to maybe our buddy over at run pee
[01:02:34] and see if there was any way that he might be able to throw a link on his site since we're
[01:02:41] reviewing movies that there's no way they would be interested in reviewing um it's worth a shot
[01:02:47] we got his email we might as well shoot him a message you go right ahead I didn't even know
[01:02:53] that app was still a thing oh it's still a thing to be honest with you yeah now you know what I fell
[01:02:59] out of favor with run pee when you had to start buying coins in order to see the pee times
[01:03:05] oh and I get that he was trying to make money off of that so I
[01:03:10] him and I also came we kind of went to blows over his review of a Pacific Rim oh okay
[01:03:19] yeah I thought that they changed that but I don't know maybe not if they may have I
[01:03:24] I mean I don't go to movies anymore so yeah
[01:03:28] yeah um so yeah um but anyway
[01:03:41] so let's see here um what else we got to talk about tonight well I know we had a lot of things
[01:03:49] I would look I have one that I would like to bring up that I'd like to get because
[01:03:54] I feel like I am not educated enough to be able to know whether this is true or not
[01:04:02] but I posted an article um and it seems like something that Hollywood would do because
[01:04:08] they're scumbag-ish not just uh the the article points out that uh
[01:04:15] Disney plus is gonna be rebooting or Disney is rebooting uh Netflix is daredevil
[01:04:21] and they they basically changed the title to like uh like daredevil
[01:04:29] I don't know if daredevil returns or what do they call it daredevil born again
[01:04:34] and in doing so what what industry insiders are saying is that that is
[01:04:42] that's a it's a Disney scam that puts them back to season one pay scale for the show and I don't know
[01:04:56] I've never heard of this until now but I can see this as something which would explain why Netflix
[01:05:04] seems to cancel a lot of their shows before or right after the third season
[01:05:12] well I don't think it's just Netflix I think that that was a no and it's not it's just this is
[01:05:18] fairly common practice uh across a lot of things um you know and you know it is definitely
[01:05:27] something that that we've seen before um so so the the disall stems from a uh a post on ex
[01:05:38] the website formerly known as twitter by from Stephen McKnight who was the showrunner for Netflix's
[01:05:45] daredevil's first season and he was tagged in a message posted by um by somebody who
[01:05:57] worked on the show who wrote they canceled daredevil once crew got full raise and holiday slash vacation pay
[01:06:08] and McKnight's response was it's an old Disney scam where they slightly rename a series to reset
[01:06:15] contract terms back to the first season needs to be addressed by all the guild slash unions and
[01:06:21] crushed then there are other examples where this was apparently brought up like the sweet life of
[01:06:30] zacking kote and hanamontana rebranded in their fourth seasons to be the sweet life on deck
[01:06:36] and hanamontana forever yeah so they're they're calling out to Disney but I bring I agree with you
[01:06:45] that I think this is this maybe something that people just aren't aware of so I don't know Colin
[01:06:51] I would like your take on this because you tend to know more about the inside and the back end
[01:06:56] of uh Hollywood than I did so I'd like your take so I would need to research whether or not
[01:07:02] this is actually I mean I could say that is not why Disney is doing this but whether or not
[01:07:11] that's also doing this thing making them a lot would be cheaper
[01:07:16] oh that I would need the research but the reason they're doing this is that the entire netflix marvel
[01:07:24] thing show all that is discarded and the reason for that is that um they were all done under a
[01:07:35] deal with netflix as a separate section of marvel from the MCU and so the people
[01:07:45] who run the MCU um all the decision makers had nothing to do with those shows and the same thing
[01:07:53] for uh agents of shield they had no input in the creative side to those shows so all those shows
[01:08:01] are not part of the MCU but they do like the cast
[01:08:07] of Daredevil so they want to bring that cast into the MCU and be Daredevil and be Wilson Fisk
[01:08:21] but um because he already did that because uh Wilson Fisk uh uh uh
[01:08:27] came over his name Vincent St. Afrio
[01:08:30] did not he already showed up yeah so he already showed up in one of the MCU shows on Disney plus
[01:08:36] so he's already been incorporated but as a as a show on a completely different network of a
[01:08:43] different name it's hard to call that a scam because it is a completely different show on a
[01:08:49] completely different network with a completely rebooted show with some people recast and the
[01:08:56] storylines from an original show were all gone and they have to do that because that show did
[01:09:02] interconnect with the other Netflix Marvel shows and those are all gone and those characters
[01:09:10] if they ever show up at the MCU are going to be a recast so now to add to this you know the reason
[01:09:18] why like okay Netflix for a specific example you know you look at Netflix and why they decide
[01:09:25] to cancel after three seasons now Mike you're exactly right contracts typically get renegotiated
[01:09:30] after the third season right and you look at something like friends okay now friends the longer
[01:09:38] that series went on the more and more and more that cast got paid okay but they were on broadcast
[01:09:44] television where the the the network could could deal with those higher payments by increasing
[01:09:55] the cost of advertising during that time slot they could say okay well you know what for seasons one
[01:10:01] through three it's you know uh twenty five thousand dollars for thirty second ad you know
[01:10:07] at for for three to six it for for three to six uh you know season it is now fifty thousand
[01:10:14] dollars for a thirty second ad you know so as the actors demanded more money the networks
[01:10:20] demanded more revenue in advertising unfortunately when you're in Netflix's position
[01:10:26] you can't demand more money from advertisers because they don't have an advertising budget and you
[01:10:33] have a for the most part stagnant population of the audience it doesn't vary that much so you
[01:10:41] can't plan on an ever increasing you know cost structure where you can constantly increase the cost
[01:10:50] of your show to meet the demands of the actors so you know you can and you know that the audience
[01:11:00] that the paying subscribers fickle and that you can't just keep upping the charge to them you know
[01:11:08] because but that's why a lot that's why a lot of these services now are doing a
[01:11:16] lower or you're paying more to not see ads right and that and even Netflix now has a tear
[01:11:24] I think it's like seven bucks a month where it's an ad subsidized tier and I think that's one
[01:11:29] of the way that Netflix is hoping to help close this gap um but I'll tell you as someone who has
[01:11:38] not had ads uh going to I went to my son-in-law's house the other day and he had Hulu with ads
[01:11:46] and boy was that frustrating I was almost ready to change the channel just because I couldn't
[01:11:53] handle two minutes of ads so irritating I'm like I will gladly pay two dollars extra a month
[01:12:01] to not have ads or five dollars extra a month I know it is a first world problem but is a problem
[01:12:07] I don't want to have it's kind of like well why I pay for YouTube uh you know no ads
[01:12:14] I don't want to watch ads anymore
[01:12:21] I personally don't mind ads when I'm streaming
[01:12:27] It gives me a natural break point like if I'm not going to watch an entire episode or if
[01:12:33] I have to let the dogs out it gives me a natural pause like I'm not trying to figure out the p-time
[01:12:41] myself it's there you go there's an ad I just hit the pause button if I need to do that
[01:12:48] nope I can't do that I'm neurotic like that I'll admit it I can't just stop and before we go any
[01:12:54] further I do want to apologize uh mama Blair Steve and Cisco you guys messaged in
[01:13:02] the toy was not refreshing for me I just acknowledged you on Facebook I apologize um
[01:13:09] I thank you for your input and I'm watching on Facebook now so yeah I don't know why it's not working
[01:13:16] that's weird all right
[01:13:22] but so to your point like you mentioned friends right and friends was one of the first ones where
[01:13:27] the entire cast got together and said either we all get a raise or we don't yeah we we all walk so
[01:13:33] they which was genius at that time um and I guess you know and this very well could be one of the
[01:13:47] um
[01:13:52] this very well could be one of the terms in sag aftra that they're that they're trying to
[01:13:59] get cleared up I know that AI is the giant elephant in the room so but let's be
[01:14:08] so the issue is that the actors are paid whenever the actors that go see it to be paid
[01:14:13] so the actors in daredele born again and what they're paid is not the issue the issue is what is
[01:14:23] the crew paid so apparently you know the camera men and all those guys those guys are being paid
[01:14:32] less for a first season show than they would be paid for a third season show
[01:14:39] that's what the that's what that guy is talking about and a lot of people are also pointing out
[01:14:45] that well his real problem with this is that because it's being treated as a brand new show
[01:14:51] and he was the original show runner of the first show he's not being paid anything
[01:14:59] and that's his actual well yeah residuals are also part of the big part of this which would
[01:15:06] affect the actors more than yes but he's saying he created the show so these are his characters
[01:15:15] but he's not getting paid for the stuff he created because it's being treated as a new show
[01:15:19] and people are like we didn't create the characters yeah I was gonna say he he didn't create
[01:15:24] the characters Marvel created the characters yeah and maybe you're saying about the crew yeah
[01:15:33] he maybe has a point for you yes that's iaxi that's what he was talking about is he saying the iaxi crew
[01:15:42] and are being paid first season instead of third season okay and that's all right so
[01:15:49] my mistake I shouldn't have brought the side I shouldn't have brought sadg after
[01:15:52] into this because that's not actually part of okay that's a different union negotiation okay
[01:15:58] all right my mistake I apologize
[01:16:05] so i mean he has a point but he also doesn't have a point because the show that he's complaining
[01:16:09] about was a Netflix show and this is a Disney plus show it's a completely different network
[01:16:15] completely new show and they're redoing a lot of the origin stories for a lot of these characters
[01:16:24] so now so here's here's the other question all right so we're talking about how Netflix is not
[01:16:30] gonna cross over with MCU are we now saying that she Hulk is not actually part of the MCU
[01:16:37] she Hulk was Disney plus okay so the Netflix okay the Netflix characters but she Hulk is tied to
[01:16:47] the MCU it's on Disney plus yes and Charlie Cox crossed over yes that's when that character
[01:16:59] of him playing Daredevil okay that's that's that's that's that's that's the difference here
[01:17:05] Charlie Cox has been confirmed as playing Daredevil in the MCU and showed up in she Hulk
[01:17:13] but that is not the same Daredevil that was in the show Daredevil on Netflix
[01:17:24] if he just pull a multiverse on me I think he said red matter in there somewhere
[01:17:32] so i'm not sure do you did didn't anybody catch like what i got off a wish all right this is this is how
[01:17:40] my life is going right now or not wish uh team move okay i got posted this the other day
[01:17:46] and my story like i take this to work with me and i spit it on the desk trying to figure out if
[01:17:52] it's real life anymore and folks are like what oh that's a cute top no it's from inception people
[01:17:58] I'm waiting for the kick yeah i got i got stuff from team move i got did yeah i did i got i got i got
[01:18:08] some games i got i got i got some i got some card games i got some darts i got a lot of darts
[01:18:17] actually i got a lot a lot of darts um because well a lot of my metal tip darts broke so i need to
[01:18:24] replace them the the little plastic piece that then holds the flights that they broke uh not
[01:18:33] metal tips themselves but so um and the flights broke so i just needed new ones so
[01:18:40] plus i wanted some heavier ones so i got like i don't know 10 sets of darts so i have plenty of darts
[01:18:50] and uh yeah so i was pretty happy with my team and i got some dice because well okay you can go
[01:18:58] and buy yotsy for like 20 bucks or you can buy like 10 you know sets of dice like eight dice so
[01:19:11] like you know i don't know like 40 dice uh for like five dollars and then print out the yotsy
[01:19:18] score sheets on um online for free so you know what's what's better i'll make my own yotsy set thank
[01:19:28] you uh and so that was in addition to a uh an order that i had put i found a deal for a little
[01:19:40] bit of a custom swag that i put at my office and i think uh i showed you guys but i don't think
[01:19:47] i've shared this online uh so because i love to you know uh promote the show as we were discussing
[01:19:55] we uh so i made some custom swag for my desk at work so you know this is this is what is on my
[01:20:05] desk at work now this is the part that i think is is the best about this is what when he's at work
[01:20:13] Colin and i are staring it all day long yes so and i had somebody go uh so so this is you
[01:20:23] and i go yes that is me that that very much is me so yes
[01:20:32] Jesus thank you for using the pick from 16 years ago from the good word 15 16 years ago
[01:20:40] well you know it was what i had what i had to work with so wow would you have rather you
[01:20:45] and mr bird at the strict club i didn't think that would be work appropriate for me
[01:20:50] fun me it's gonna be here it's on your desk so your code of conduct violations got to worry about not mine
[01:21:00] oh
[01:21:03] oh mike we talked about this on the last episode on Wednesday
[01:21:08] we said it was going to be on Tuesday but it's going to be on Wednesday
[01:21:12] we get to look for everybody's phone making an annoying noise at 12 20 eastern time
[01:21:21] and ruining the day for everyone i want i can't look i really look forward to being in the office
[01:21:28] when this happens you know what the worst part of this is 12 20 12 20 eastern time that's
[01:21:36] that's smack to have the middle of lunch yeah so the cafeteria is going to be full of oh god thank god
[01:21:44] i'm not sitting near the cafeteria anymore holy crap we used to reserve a conference room
[01:21:51] me and two other guys that was literally overlooking the cafeteria
[01:21:57] and i would spend at least five minutes every hour swollen back and looking to see who's actually
[01:22:04] in the cafeteria because i'd hear the whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa
[01:22:08] and nine times out of ten it was these damn interns they were just hanging out and i'm like what do
[01:22:14] what you're teaching these interns they don't have to work it is not lunchtime why are they all
[01:22:19] just hanging out socializing i don't like it and now we're now we now we got drop-ins face on the
[01:22:28] other side i'm in a whole different building so i'm not i don't have to hear it but yeah i'm
[01:22:34] not looking forward to that and that'll be it'll about 11 20 our time and that'll be right when
[01:22:43] everybody's because Wednesday is our forced at work day normally so that's right yeah everybody
[01:22:51] will be in the office schedule every call you can around that time so it'll just be it'll be a fun
[01:22:59] one that's for sure so also new got a little bit of time before we get to get into the reviews
[01:23:07] so colon back when you had your own place all right and then later on it was moved i believe to
[01:23:15] your parents old place all right one of your fondest things kind of like a boat the day when you
[01:23:23] got it and the day when you got rid of it was your hot tub so regale me of all the pleasures of
[01:23:34] owning a hot tub tell me how great it is it's great there you go okay because
[01:23:51] you want me to because i'm gonna leave it to your nice Rosie you know hope and
[01:23:58] because i walked into a situation where i could get a hot tub and and for a very low cost
[01:24:10] and so you know all i had to do was get it moved here and then electricity ran to it
[01:24:16] and then build a covering for it and all that kind of stuff luckily i had already built a pad for
[01:24:23] because we had done this once before and so you know now it's gonna be hot tub time
[01:24:34] and so it's going to be it's so you know i'm looking forward to it and you can you can tell me how
[01:24:41] much i'm going to enjoy my hot tub and how there's no maintenance on a hot tub and how it's nothing but
[01:24:49] fun sexy time on the hot tub and how it's just you got nonstop chicks when you had a hot tub
[01:24:55] you know you just regale me with those times does mr. Shatheed have a hot tub?
[01:25:01] everything you say about hot tub is bullshit
[01:25:05] not no mr. Shatheed hot tub is great
[01:25:09] hot tub is great when you sit in it like chicken making soup not great every 23 half hours of day
[01:25:19] otherwise but why not i mean but isn't it isn't it doesn't it you say you buy hot tub cheap yes
[01:25:29] why person get rid of well they was included in a house that they bought and they don't want it
[01:25:36] okay cellar live with house why if hot tub's so great because they're an old lady whose house
[01:25:44] been died okay so much old people bacteria in hot tub that wasn't used never yet
[01:25:56] but pipes completely clean well it's only gonna get one day's time hot tub used
[01:26:05] it's only two years old it was used like once okay so mildew and fungi wet in pipes
[01:26:15] but i don't know it's gonna get cleaned that was not question i thought that was statement of fact
[01:26:23] but i don't think so i think it's perfectly fine i mean you know then it should be
[01:26:28] tell hot tub air start falling out and skin start to turn purple you would say mr. Shatheed was
[01:26:35] right the hairs already falling out how would i know if it's any different talking about hair on legs
[01:26:42] and arms and the balls that it's a little bit but well you know that i don't know that that
[01:26:48] would necessarily bad thing and there's a bit too much there anyway but you know
[01:26:55] two best days of hot tub ownership they you buy they you sell well but what about pools aren't
[01:27:03] pools the same situation no those much less work hot tub stay hot heat is heat and moisture are
[01:27:14] breathing ground for bacteria oh pool is cold this is a salt water hot tub so it's you know
[01:27:27] for shaggy say shaggy say that there no bacteria in ocean no ocean salt water no and
[01:27:38] i could i could put a sharp flesh eating bacteria come from ocean
[01:27:44] mr. Shatheed i think you can agree with me that all other things being said about it
[01:27:52] a hot tub is great for 353 days of the year
[01:27:55] the other 12 days are going to be in the car bill
[01:28:05] well i i did talk to the electrician today and he said it is like having an oven or a stove
[01:28:12] turned on high constantly so i do anticipate the electric bill increasing
[01:28:21] not looking forward to that part but i'm looking forward to you know what the electric so cheap
[01:28:30] in spring oh comparatively it is i'm not so i'm not terribly worried my last electric bill was like
[01:28:38] forty five dollars so you know pretty happy about that what's
[01:28:45] how much 45 bucks
[01:28:49] hey how much i can wait what it's like forty five dollars man
[01:28:58] forty five dollars and you have you have electric appliances you have
[01:29:03] electric heat and air conditioning and you have an entire NASA network of servers i have a gas
[01:29:09] heat but you know it's summertime so that's not running
[01:29:17] but yeah i have gas too i have gas heat gas water right
[01:29:24] and it's okay summertime but the budget plan i'm paying over $250 a month for freaking electric
[01:29:33] forty dollars what's your gas bill like 45 it was like 90 bucks
[01:29:41] in the summer i don't even know it wasn't even that i put that on level pay
[01:29:46] okay so you're paying like 90 bucks a month level pay something like that yeah
[01:29:51] well i'm paying like 46 and that's the lowest they'll let you pay a month for my gas okay so
[01:29:59] so that's quite the reason we actually pay we pay in the winter we pay 0.0988 per kilowatt hour
[01:30:11] and in the summer we pay 0.1139 per kilowatt hour
[01:30:17] now i got to go to my damn bill see uh
[01:30:22] since i'm on the damn budget plan i don't even know how much my
[01:30:27] oh okay wait a second hold on i was wrong that must have been i don't know what that what maybe
[01:30:30] that was my gas bill that i paid 45 bucks for it must have been gas last i like to build with
[01:30:35] $300 but still 300 that's not bad for summer so where we pay
[01:30:48] um
[01:30:53] now i was going to oh that's the little one actually that was combined because that's water and
[01:30:58] but yeah so you're talking wait the service and
[01:31:05] delivery yeah so i hate my freaking electric bill i swear to god
[01:31:12] well we pay 14 dollars and 76 cents for just having service
[01:31:18] and then those other rates per kilowatt hour
[01:31:22] so let's see if i just look at pure electric
[01:31:30] yeah so summer kilowatt hour i paid 215 oh no the 1476 just the minimum charge
[01:31:38] yeah it is so yeah so it was like 228 to 29 just for electric everything else was
[01:31:47] water and blah blah blah
[01:31:53] so yeah i paid like 16 cents a kilowatt hour when you
[01:32:00] consider generation and service delivery charges
[01:32:04] okay so yeah we pay five cents uh yeah five cents plus per kilowatt hour
[01:32:13] and the wind in the summer
[01:32:19] and let's see
[01:32:23] so i'm just trying to figure out based off of my last month's bill kilowatt's use yeah okay
[01:32:29] that makes up to difference right there pretty much because that's that difference
[01:32:35] is about it equates to about $71
[01:32:40] yeah all you have to do is have communist um government owned uh power plants and uh
[01:32:50] yeah yeah that's what you know instead of you know uh you know good old market
[01:32:59] so you know do that the the upshot is you know this is the first time i've actually opened a bill
[01:33:06] in a while uh no usages actually going down oh in the in the wintertime my electric usage is
[01:33:15] down to like 210 my total bill no i mean like year over year 225 yeah oh yeah
[01:33:21] yeah so from same time last year i'm using less energy so july was my worst month this year
[01:33:29] so i was like $290 just for electric it's bad it was a hot July though yeah the
[01:33:38] irony is that January was actually even though my gas what you know gas we have
[01:33:47] well i don't understand why January is showing as my biggest my largest month of the year
[01:33:55] uh it was all those all i know why it was all your decorations
[01:34:00] well December yeah December in January no i know why it's you know we have we have a business there uh
[01:34:13] moving on um let's see mom and player says hot tub cross electricity cold climate heat
[01:34:20] dollars and the wildlife like to live under the warm tub yes saying
[01:34:28] yes but sometimes a wild lot sometimes bigger wildlife like live in the tub
[01:34:37] i
[01:34:40] well i wish you best of luck man first first thing i would do is make sure it don't leak anywhere
[01:34:45] before you even plug in or hook it up that's why i'm well no it doesn't leak anywhere it's um
[01:34:50] i know that already and i hired a professional moving company to move it so that if they break it
[01:34:55] in the process there insurance can be for it so you are seriously hoping it breaks
[01:35:02] well i don't care one way or the other but as long as it doesn't
[01:35:07] so funny story though uh before we move on to the movies the people we sold our hot tub too
[01:35:13] they it took them like a year and a half before they actually hooked it up
[01:35:18] because when they when they got it to the house their her son actually said
[01:35:24] um where are you putting this mahi she goes put it on our deck your deck is not going to support
[01:35:30] the weight of this yeah that was another like in their driveway for like a year until
[01:35:36] like you get the the footings in the foundation of the deck built up yeah like he said i already had a
[01:35:41] pad built for one so i know exactly where it's going and then i'm gonna put a pergola or i'm
[01:35:48] gonna put a gazebo over it so protect it from the elements so okay we'll see how it goes
[01:35:58] but are you building one or are you found one i'm gonna get a pre i'm gonna get a a kit one
[01:36:05] so you know because if i try to build it from scratch it's gonna look kind of like
[01:36:11] homers doghouse from the simpsons uh so just 3d printed yeah yeah yeah you got a 3d printer
[01:36:19] so so i i found one that i like for like you know 800 bucks so yeah and it's all aluminum
[01:36:27] so it'll work but yeah all right um let's get into our movie reviews and we have two movies
[01:36:35] that we're gonna review this evening which is great and uh let's see here so uh we will um so
[01:36:49] we have uh not good girl what the heck was the name of it called uh sweet girl sweet girl on Netflix
[01:37:01] starring Jason Momoa and then we have Griff the invisible which is not about Collins nephew
[01:37:09] i was dismayed to hear about that uh to see that but um you know it uh so which one do we want to
[01:37:16] talk about first yeah i just should just don't even come into me because i'm you know i should have
[01:37:23] washed Griff the invisible i've been apologies i should have tried but no i don't see neither of them
[01:37:28] maybe so okay so uh so we will start with sweet girl uh so all right so Mike will start with the
[01:37:38] oh actually i'll go first if you don't care um all right so sweet girl um so Jason Momoa
[01:37:48] stars in this movie and i'll tell you what this is an interesting movie
[01:37:59] and about well with about 30 minutes left my wife came into the room and started trying to watch
[01:38:05] the movie with me and that was there were a lot of questions they asked
[01:38:13] that was that was just a terrible idea on her part um you know because that was when things got
[01:38:20] interesting in the movie i mean not to say they weren't interesting before but there are some
[01:38:24] developments in the movie about a half an hour before it's over that you know twist your brain a bit
[01:38:31] and uh you know because i don't want to give too much away from the movie even though it's a 2021 movie
[01:38:37] um but if you like a good action movie this will be a fun movie for you and uh you know
[01:38:44] if you like Jason Momoa this is a good movie for you this is is is a good action flick
[01:38:53] it will tear at your heartstrings a little bit though so you do have to walk into it knowing that
[01:38:58] this is a bit of a drama movie so if you're you know affected by cancer battles or anything like
[01:39:07] that then this could be a little bit of a sticking point for you but i think it had really good
[01:39:13] action it had really good dialogue it had good acting um it had very interesting character
[01:39:19] development in it um you know it was just
[01:39:23] uh it was a good watch i don't know that i'd watch it again because it's not my style of movie
[01:39:30] per se um by the end but it is an interesting watch for sure so i am going to give this one a
[01:39:40] smile because i think that it deserves it um but uh you know yeah it for a Netflix original
[01:39:49] this was a good film and i think Jason Momoa is really tuned into this action flick with a
[01:39:58] slightly romantic twist um you know he's got some depth in his characters i'd love to see him
[01:40:05] i don't know that he's ever done a comedy per se i know there's some comedic elements
[01:40:10] in aquaman and stuff like that but i'd i'd be interested to see if he has a comedy anywhere
[01:40:16] in his repertoire because that would be could be a fun one there has long been
[01:40:24] a rumor or hopefulness that him as we talk about roommates him and Peter Dinklage do a remake
[01:40:34] of twins yeah so uh so that would be i mean i liked him in stargated lantis to start with
[01:40:46] before i ever saw him in anything else so you know that's what that's what got me started on him
[01:40:51] and so he will he will remain roman ronin uh dax for a while so anyway all right mike your turn
[01:41:01] okay um this is the first movie i've ever seen with Doug from the hangover
[01:41:09] in anything but a hangover movie and once again mr. Justin Bartha is only in about 15 minutes
[01:41:17] of said movie i don't know if i get as violent as the main character did in his situation however
[01:41:26] i know i would get as angry and i really this is where shaggy talks about how it pulls at the
[01:41:32] heartstrings because at the root of this is a a medical bill big pharma insurance government type
[01:41:44] crux right a little halfway through this movie i have not taken very many notes i have really been
[01:41:52] enjoying i really enjoyed the movie i felt that the dynamic between jason momoah and isbella merced
[01:41:59] is one of the best that i have seen in not just a netflix movie but in general the the interaction
[01:42:06] between their characters was great they were cast perfectly and then the twist at the ending
[01:42:13] i don't know if i was just being naive or or what but i didn't see the twist coming
[01:42:18] yeah many of it so and that's this was not like an emerald night chamalamadengdon where you kind
[01:42:24] of figure out where the twist is going to be this was but it was a bit trippy because once the twist
[01:42:36] hits you find yourself pausing and going back and saying well wait a second now and you're thinking
[01:42:42] back to scenes and i think they did flashbacks to certain scenes too that illustrated how it actually
[01:42:50] happened as a result of the twist the movie could very well be construed as just a subtle commentary
[01:42:59] on big pharma and government and the relationship between them so i'm but as shaggy said i don't think
[01:43:07] i'm gonna watch this again but i'm right there with you i gave this a smile um
[01:43:13] i i had to go back and look in a lot of the movies that we've watched i think isbella merced was in
[01:43:18] yesterday which i think we reviewed um i think she played she was in um
[01:43:26] what was the the nicolody and game fun temple thing wasn't she in that too i think oh uh
[01:43:34] the night temple temple yeah i think she was in that every movie i've seen her in i've really
[01:43:42] been impressed with her acting ability dola and though she was in doora and the loss of
[01:43:46] the city of gold incident family i didn't see doora and the lost city of gold i want to be real clear
[01:43:51] about that um
[01:43:59] god they're remaking father the bride are they remade she was i think she was she was in a movie with um
[01:44:05] martin martin robert she wasn't let she was in legends of the hidden temple yes she was an instant family
[01:44:12] um but she was not in yesterday she was in transformers
[01:44:19] with the last night yes day i don't know
[01:44:27] but yeah but yep okay
[01:44:33] oh
[01:44:38] oh jennit or tega yeah within yesterday okay
[01:44:48] now
[01:44:54] now i will say well hold on a second before you say that you you said that there was amazing chemistry
[01:44:58] there i think it was similar chemistry that jason mmoa had in um braven with uh and
[01:45:08] with uh steven lang who played his father in that movie yes i mean because that's that was really
[01:45:14] i mean jason mmoa has great chemistry with certain you know co-stars in his movies and
[01:45:22] it's just amazing how you just go okay well that's his daughter or okay yeah that's his dad
[01:45:28] you can you know it's there that just happened and you're like yep all right yeah i believe it
[01:45:34] 100% um so you know i don't know how he does it but he is just he's just great at that
[01:45:42] all right so now uh moving on to griff the invisible
[01:45:52] um all right
[01:45:57] i'm gonna start off by saying if we were
[01:46:03] if this was was under our new uh rules we probably would not have watched this watch this movie
[01:46:13] this uh to me uh seems more like a student film um then a big budget movie
[01:46:25] and you can you can tell that by the acting you can tell that by the special effects you can tell
[01:46:30] that a little bit by the um by the dialogue uh it is it's an Australian film which is fine
[01:46:41] you know nothing wrong with this Australian films um it does have um a fairly large character in
[01:46:50] it uh Alan ball um or i'm sorry not Alan ball but uh Ryan quentin was from true blood
[01:47:01] he's an academy award winner um and you know
[01:47:11] i just this movie is another one
[01:47:15] and i'm gonna give this one away another one with twist all right but in this case the twists are not good
[01:47:27] all right the twists don't gain you anything in the storyline the twists are just kind of stupid
[01:47:39] um this whole thing is about a a guy who i would say is probably on some spectrum somewhere
[01:47:50] uh of something that believes that he is a superhero and uh you know uh
[01:47:58] imagines these scenarios where he goes out and he fights crime and that he does all these things
[01:48:04] by the end you realize that he's not doing any of that it's all in his head
[01:48:09] and as luck would have it his brother starts dating a woman who has similar issues or also loves
[01:48:17] living in a fantasy land and uh his brother introduces her to him um you know as as his girlfriend
[01:48:26] turns out they become attracted to each other and she indulges his fantasies and uh you know it's just
[01:48:37] just doesn't at first i was a little bit sucked in unfortunately thinking oh well his inventions
[01:48:44] don't work in the light or oh his inventions time out or whatever and then i suddenly got went
[01:48:50] no this is really stupid uh it's just all in his head um so the like i said the twist was just
[01:48:58] dumb it wasn't you know any good so uh not a great movie not not a great premise
[01:49:09] if Benny and June if the movie Benny and June was up your alley and
[01:49:15] you got really really really really drunk that is this is the movie you would make if you were
[01:49:23] trying to make an homage to drunk drunk drunk drunk drunk drunk Benny and June all right uh so there
[01:49:30] my rating for this is going to be a verb that's what i think of this movie i don't think it's a puke
[01:49:39] it's not that bad it's not something i would ever recommend to anyone in the world
[01:49:46] all right mike all right i want to know when this damn movie was made that everybody has square monitors
[01:49:53] in his office 2010 uh okay and wait a minute wait wait wait everybody's got an accent did you
[01:50:02] bastard sneak in a British movie on me it's it what a bad one oh wait it's Australian okay i'll allow it
[01:50:09] the whole theory about cats existing in nine universes at once is pretty freaking interesting
[01:50:15] imagine having to worry about what was happening to you in nine places at the same time
[01:50:22] we're now at the office snapped scene and i'm feeling like this is an Aussie mix of kick ass and wanted
[01:50:31] side note part where the girl asked about the brother and his love life i used to deal with that
[01:50:36] exact scenario when my cousin would come to this or if i visited him everyone would ask about him
[01:50:42] annoying his hell he wound up being committed to a mental institution so there you go um
[01:50:51] someone tell me what the hell lemon and baking soda and titheck in a bathtub gin is all an invisible
[01:51:02] suit from stuff from the neighborhood hardware store he's created a suit that he could turn his
[01:51:08] invisibility on and off it will okay and now she's feeding him to his delusions so this is a
[01:51:16] retelling of donkey hoody now the facade comes down or uh speaking of whatever happened to listen
[01:51:24] or griff mick rennels this is where my mind is going at this point um because the movie is lost
[01:51:30] i've lost interest does she really have that power to go through or what the hell is going on
[01:51:41] like um this one hundred percent i originally was going to give this a map
[01:51:51] because the story takes elements from many different movies okay and the final scene as shaggy said
[01:51:57] remind me of banyan june where two special people figure out how to live life together
[01:52:05] i can't give it a verb i'm going to stick with the map because i like the idea that in the end
[01:52:13] despite all of their unusual quirks the message was there's someone out there for everyone
[01:52:22] and don't like the idea of them trying to do chemistry in the bathtub like that so
[01:52:33] lipstick with me i'll stick with that all right make sense okay
[01:52:40] um
[01:52:49] all right next up um is talk of do we want to pick the next movie now or do we need to put some more
[01:52:57] on the list because i know the list was getting a little bit short uh well why don't we
[01:53:03] or is there a particular one that we want to pick because i know there's been quite a few
[01:53:07] that have come out on netflix especially recently um you know and uh so might so something that we want
[01:53:18] there are some on here that we might be able to do um
[01:53:24] there are some i
[01:53:27] i okay so just reading through the the summaries here
[01:53:31] i think we can nix act naturally okay um a movie where the summary says two stepsisters and
[01:53:42] herithe father's nudist colony i i think we can go ahead and get rid of that one yeah we can probably
[01:53:49] fill that one for now um there's another one on here the bad education movie
[01:53:55] which the summary says this this has got a double whammy um
[01:54:02] raunchy goofy class trip comedy british warning so it's that's that's out there
[01:54:13] that's got huge actmen in it i don't care if it had jesus them self in it
[01:54:18] so we got i mean we've only got thirteen on the list okay
[01:54:30] well we can definitely we can we can find something um uh you know gosh i was going to
[01:54:39] do i swore there was stuff that i was looking at or that i had been suggested on um
[01:54:53] on
[01:54:56] and actually looking at number 13 so there's one on here that may violate one of our rules
[01:55:03] okay um rift two ripd2
[01:55:10] oh and the rule the question is this is a sequel it is a sequel do we have to review the first one before
[01:55:21] will have we all watched the first one i know i have
[01:55:26] i have okay we both seen the first one and i've read the comic book too
[01:55:32] well i won't say that i've ever gone that far um i read the comic book before they
[01:55:43] well now you're just going for extra credit um well
[01:55:49] so there's there's i got to be i'm kind of narrowed down to three of them right now
[01:55:55] all right without doing the random number thing because i think you're right i think we do kind
[01:55:59] of have to talk about some of these there maybe some that we don't
[01:56:03] um on between
[01:56:09] they clone tyrone which is one that you said you oh yeah you asked us is that something you thought
[01:56:14] we could do um the bubble which is about it's kind of like a meta type thing where they're filming
[01:56:24] the sequel to a movie during quarantine yep and then you know ripd2 if you want to do that
[01:56:35] i would kind of be interested in ripd2 just because it gets uh suggested to me so freaking
[01:56:44] awful awesome or uh often a lot yes but colon i'll uh i think i think i think that works as well
[01:56:55] first yeah i think ripd2 i think i think that works
[01:57:03] yeah and then i'm putting some i'm going to grab some more to put on there and we can talk about
[01:57:09] what what we have next so yeah we can we can work on that and go from there so all right cool
[01:57:18] i i would like to nominate on that flicks if you could find the the outlaws
[01:57:24] if they're showing up on my recommendations if i do thing i'm looking at going that looks
[01:57:27] well and i just uh i put on a couple more because like uh my big fat greek wedding 2 is now out
[01:57:44] and i assume we've all watched the first one i watched all three
[01:57:48] didn't two just come out no the third one is actually in the theater oh okay
[01:58:01] okay well murder mystery too have you watched that one yet because i know we watched the first one
[01:58:07] for the show did we yeah no i haven't watched that one okay
[01:58:16] so all right well we will definitely find some more and uh and go from there
[01:58:26] oh and then there's a new Anthony Mackie uh horror comedy called We Have a Ghost
[01:58:33] that might be fun so i've been on an Anthony Mackie kick so you know
[01:58:42] oh twisted metal i i started i did watch one of those episodes i haven't finished watching it yet
[01:58:48] but yeah it's on my list as well so all right
[01:58:53] all right all right everybody well that is our show for this evening do you want to thank
